The “Cinque Terre“
This is not exactly a landscape: it is a visionary hybrid, a meditation on the “personality” of a tract of the Ligurian coast that I love so much. The best way to describe the pentagram profile of the coast between the towns of Riomaggiore and Monterosso would be as the phalanges of a hand or a fist immersed in the sea. This “map” is used by my students in an unforgettable travelling laboratory.
