Wasserburg im Bodensee. I painted it as a strange apparition from eastern Russia. Somehow, the bulb-shaped bell tower reminded me of St. Petersburg. The sky and the lake were the same colour: a mother-of-pearl grey, a unique shade of immobility. Then, it started to rain and a drop fell on the right-hand page.
