Córdoba.
Is the “Mezquita-Catedral” a mosque or a cathedral? It is a mosque that was converted into a triumphant church with a lofty forest of columns that terminate in a magnificent gothic tower. Now, this Roman Catholic cathedral wanders through the fabulous labyrinth of this once flamboyant and resurrected oriental landmark. I have a feeling that the “Reconquista” is not over and will never be and that this “Mezquita-Catedral” will have to cope with it perpetually.
